As sta:isticians figure it, if Americas continue to drive as they do, one of every two per sons alive today will be either killed or injured in a motor ve hicle accident sometime in the future. If this appalling casualty rate is spread evenly among the population, it would mean that one out of every- two members of your family, one out of every two close friends and associates, eventually will become a casual ty of America’s continuing war of attrition with highway haz ards. Recognize that you have a role to play; that there are many people in your life who are in fluenced by what you stand for, and to a large extent copy what you do. It is these half dozen or more persons your wife, your sons and daughters, your neigh bors, your friends, your employ ees, who make an influential person in traffic safety. Recog nize the fact that because of this influence you have a great responsibility to s and for and reflect the positive aspects of traffic safety. This course is open to all citi zens of Yancey County, and it is that many take advantage joining counties, has been com pleted and in use for about four months.
